What You’ll Learn
We start in beginner-friendly conditions with steady winds and calm waters, ensuring you feel comfortable and confident as you build your skills. Whether you choose the 2-day or 3-day option, you’ll receive personalised instruction designed to get you up and gliding quickly.
Here’s a breakdown of what you’ll learn:
-
Day 1: Two-Step Progression
-
Step 1: Safety and Land Training: You’ll begin by learning essential theory, safety guidelines, and mastering wing handling on land. You’ll practice setting up the wing and controlling it in the air to gain confidence before moving to the water.
-
Step 2: Water Balance ("Taxi"): After the land session, we’ll head into the water, either on a paddleboard or a wing foil board. You’ll work on balance and learning the "taxi" technique, where you’ll surf on the board without lifting it off the water.
-
Day 2: Towing and Water Start Practice
-
Step 1: Towing Session (1 hour): You’ll start the day with a towing session, where you’ll be pulled behind a boat or JetSki. This helps you build balance and better understand board positioning before controlling the wing independently.
-
Step 2: Wing Foiling Progression (1 hour): After the towing session, you’ll return to the wing foil board to further develop your water skills. This session will focus on mastering the water start and riding in both directions (Port and Starboard). We’ll also guide you through basic turning techniques and transitions, ensuring you become comfortable steering the board and managing your speed on the water.
-
Day 3: Refining Your Skills (or continuation of Day 2 if on a 2-day schedule)
-
Step 1: Towing Session (1 hour): Begin the day with another towing session to further improve your balance and control.
-
Step 2: Wing Foiling Practice (2 hours): You’ll focus on water starts and gaining confidence while foiling, noticing improvements in balance and board control as you progress.

To make the most of your lessons, we recommend bringing the following:
